The Sir Denis Mahon Essay Prize 2018 was held in the Prints & Drawings Room at The British Museum, London, and was hosted by Dr. Hugo Chapman, the Keeper & Curator of Italian & French drawings from c. 1400 – c. 1800.

 Magnus Rena graduated in Art History in 2020 from the Courtauld Institute of Art, receiving the Director’s prize for his final dissertation. He was the 2018 Winner of the Sir Denis Mahon Essay Prize. He regularly writes catalogue and exhibition texts for artists, art foundations and art galleries. He co-curated exhibitions, the most recent of which was Time {𝜏} and Eternal Life at Cromwell Place, 5 October – 20 December 2020.
